Abstract

Digitalization is transforming education by transitioning the teacher’s role from a sole knowledge provider to a guide, collaborator, and designer of learning experiences. In the digital age, teachers utilize tools like learning management systems, online platforms, and artificial intelligence to create interactive, personalized instruction. Research shows these technologies can increase student engagement and learning outcomes, but they also introduce challenges such as greater workload and a widening digital divide (UNESCO, 2024; Pew Research Center, 2013).. This paper reviews how teachers’ duties have evolved with digital technology: it outlines traditional, teacher-centered methods (e.g. lectures and chalkboard teaching) and contrasts them with modern, technology-enhanced practices. Drawing on theoretical frameworks (TPACK, constructivism, connectivism) and recent studies (Mishra & Koehler, 2006; Siemens, 2005; Vygotsky, 1978).  Finally, suggestions were given
