Technologies and the Human Jobs: The Way Forward

Abstract

The study elucidated information on the effects of technologies as a replacement of human jobs.
This paper assesses and reviewed the various modern technologies that have taken human jobs
such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Reactive Machines, Theory of mind, including
Self-aware which have an independent intelligence which could make its own decisions even
into the future. Others include but not limited to; robots, enable robots, biotechnology, drone
and warfare technologies. The study expressed that technology has the potential to significantly
influence various aspects of work and may replace some human jobs. It was concluded that
technologies in the future would take away human jobs excepts jobs in creative fields, strategic
decision-making, human interaction and empathy, and skilled trades. It was suggested that for
individuals to be relevant for the job market and in the work place there is need individuals to
be skillful with the 21st Century modern workplace skills and in the manufacturing,
maintenance and repairs of these technologies.
