The population of the study comprised of all the 274 schools with principals in public secondary schools in Akwa Ibom State from which a sample of 30 schools, with principals and 150 teachers were derived using purposive sampling technique. The instrument for data collection was a researcher’s developed instrument entitled: “Principals’ Demographics Questionnaire (PDQ), Transformational Leadership Questionnaire (PTLQ)” and Proforma entitled “Students’ Academic Performance Proforma” (SAPP).These instruments were validated and tested for reliability. The collated data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tools. The formulated hypotheses were tested using factorial analysis of variance. Findings from the study revealed a significant different in school productivity based on principals’ age and transformational leadership. However, the study found no significant difference in school productivity based on principals’ gender and transformational leadership in public secondary schools in Akwa Ibom State. Based on the findings, the study concluded that age and transformational leadership interactively influence school productivity. It is recommended among others that the government and State Secondary Education Board should routinely organised targeted leadership training programs for principals to enhance their transformational leadership skills particularly in inspirational motivation
